Retired anesthesiologist, acupuncturist and herbalist, Maximo C. Chua, MD born on February 18, 1936 collapsed at his home in Miller Place and passed away of natural causes on June 18, 2021.  He was the beloved father of daughters Stella Murray, Roslyn Chua-McAlonie and Michelle Craddock; grandfather of Tyler and Emma Murray, Anna and Benjamin Craddock and Gavin McAlonie. He is survived by his ex-wife Victoria Chua. He was a beloved friend to many.

Dr. Chua was born in Pasay City, Philippines. He was the youngest of 6 children from his parents Yu-Sing Chua and Tao Co.  He also has 6 step brothers and sisters from his step mom Hua-Ho On.

Max, as he was known to most, was passionate about everything! He dedicated his life to medicine and healing.  In is free time, he engaged in his athletic passions of tennis, golf and skiing.  He loved stimulating his brain with lengthy games of chess and a cup of tea.

Despite living his childhood through war and his senior years through a pandemic, he was a man with a balanced Chi energy and a zest for life. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

  7. It was a very sad news. So sudden! I miss Mr. Chua’s smile, warm heart, and his acupuncture. I also miss his courage for my son’s tennis playing. May all good memories of him bring his family peace and closure.

It really shows your Dad’s many interests and the love he shared with you all.
