I can’t imagine our world without Mike’s beautiful smile and calming presence of this gentle giant of goodness and generosity. We will hold Mike will be in our hearts forever and we will always be so thankful for the time that we did have together. He will be incredibly missed.
Mike will be missed.
My earliest memory of “Uncle Mikey” was when he was 19 years old, I was seven. He would take two of my younger brothers and me hiking in the woods at West Point, teaching us about nature and how to pay attention to our surroundings. Mike was already gearing to be a great dad, borrowing his older brother’s boys.
Mike was & is a warm loving spirit who continues to be with us, even as he joins his brother, Bart, who passed earlier this year. They make an awesome angel duo watching over us, whispering thoughts of encouragement, reassurance and guidance.
Our most heartfelt condolences to Hope and all the family.
Did not know him after NU but as a fellow cadet, I always had an immense respect for Mike. Everyone knew he was a good and decent man and a great Cadet leader. I am very sorry for your loss. Ed Shyloski NU’66
We all lost a fine Norwich man. He lived our NU Values of serving others before himself. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and Norwich Buddies. May he now Rest in Peace. RADM Rich Schneider, Norwich President Emeritus
