Stephens, Michael James Age 78; 52-year resident of Rocky Point, NY, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 24, 2018. Cherished husband of Jeanne (nee Larsen). Adored father of Michael (Josephine), the late Patrick Brian, Kevin (Donna) & Kathleen (Dan) Fusaro. Proud grandfather of Michael (Janine), Melissa (Billy), Vincent, Nicole (Dan), James, Blaze, Chase, Zackary & David. Treasured brother of Diane (Ed), Geri (Jim), the late Carol Ann, Sue (Gary) & Bob (Toni). Revered uncle of 11 nieces & nephews. Graduate of Port Jefferson High School, Class of 1957. US Navy Veteran. Long-time employee of Verizon & Brookhaven Lab, little league coach & fleet captain for the Mt. Sinai Yacht Club. Reposing at Branch Funeral Home of Miller Place, 551 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. Visitation Friday, 2 - 5 & 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday at St. Louis de Montfort R.C. Church, Sound Beach, NY, for which he & Jeanne were active members for many years.
