Michael Ruffini, age 56, of Wailuku, Hawaii formerly of Rocky Point died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at home. Michael was born December 1, 1957 in Port Jefferson, NY. He is the son of the late Patsy and the late Rita (Tamm) Ruffini Jr. He was a tile setter in Hawaii. He is survived by his sister: Patricia Hines of Calverton, NY. A memorial mass will be offered 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 14 at St. Anthony Of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY with Rev. Richard P. Hoerning officiating. Burial will follow at Waverly Cemetery in Holtsville at a later date. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 13 from 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY.

I worked with Michael a few years during high school at NUWay drug store .it was in rocky point . He was a wonderful worker and friend. We had so much fun together it was a great bunch of high school kids working and growing up. I thought of him this summer when I went back to Long Island to visit family . I went to rocky point saw his family home and hoped he was well. I don’t do social media so I had no contact. I’m happy he got to Hawaii . So sad he passed young .
