Patricia Edwards, age 81, of Rocky Point, NY died Monday, May 5, 2014. Born January 13, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and the late Antoinette (Bongiovanni) Daly. She was a Home Maker in Rocky Point, NY. She is survived by her loving daughter: Patricia Gangi (Gerard) of FL, sons: George Edwards (Terri) of Rocky Point, NY, William Edwards, Jr. (Sherri) of WA, Frank Edwards (Robin) of Port Jefferson Station, NY, Thomas Edwards of Selden, NY, Robert Edwards of Manhattan, NY, sisters: Peggy Benincasa (Al), Carol Ann Androlunis of PA, brothers: Joe Daly (Jean) of Rocky Point, NY, John Sullivan (Elaine) of FL, Ed Sullivan (Diane) of Rocky Point, NY, eight Grandchildren: Dawn Field (Chris), Danielle Edwards, Gregory Edwards (Alissa), Jamie Pendl (Kevin), Jessica Edwards and Kellee Edwards, Timothy Gangi (Shana) & Matthew Gangi, five Great Grandchildren: Georgia and Maddie Field, James, Jake & Luke Pendl, numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends. Predeceased in death by her beloved Husband, William G. Edwards, Sr., Sons; James and Donald & Sister, Victoria Edwards. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Friday, May 9 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY with Rev. Richard P. Hoerning officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram on Friday, May 9 at 11:00 am. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 7 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, May 8 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Dear Robert & Family, Although I only met your mom a handful of times, Robert has been a dear friend for many many years. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Patty was one of the sweetest cousins. I always enjoyed my conversations with her at the family picnics. She was always surrounded by her wonderful family. My love to the family. I will miss her.
