Peter passed away on Thursday, January 31st, 2019. His death was unexpected. We are grateful that when he died, he was safe and died peacefully in his sleep.Peter was born on June 7, 1983 on Long Island, NY where he grew up and lived on and off throughout his adult life. He was a graduate of Commack High School and the College at Albany. Peter was a skilled electrician and worked in the family business during his younger years. He was full of life, had a heart of gold, and loved all of his family and friends with everything he had. Peter would talk to anyone, and when you were in his company you wanted to stay. He was adored as a son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.Peter is survived by his parents, Margaret and Peter Vardouniotis; his sister Alexia Nyholm and husband Will Nyholm; his brother Angelo Vardouniotis; his brother Ianni Vardouniotis and wife Renee Vardouniotis; his nephew Peter Vardouniotis; and nieces Mila Vardouniotis and Livia Nyholm; as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins, including the Geralemou Family, who took such good care of Peter and whom he lived with for an extended time.We have already had a service to honor Peter. We thank everyone for your support, prayers, thoughts, and love. We take comfort in knowing Peter is free now and at peace. We will miss him and love him always.
