Pirkko (Betty) Schneider, age 90, of Yaphank, New York died Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Betty was born January 1, 1936 in Finland. She is the daughter of the late Emil and the late Sylvia Stephenson. She was employed by Lourdes, Hauppauge, New York as an Administrative Assistant. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 2023. She is survived by her loving children, Paul (Diane) Schneider of Yaphank, New York, Anne Marie (Al) Licata of Farmingville, New York, Carolyn (Sal) Santonocito, of Ridge New York, Karl (Anne) Schneider of Mount Sinai, New York and one dear brother, Emil Stephenson of Florida. She is also the cherished grandmother of Erik, Ian, Kasey, Anthony, Sylvie & Andrew and one precious great grandchild, Kennedy. She was predeceased by her sister, Sirkka LaPoma. All arrangements including private cremation have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York.
