  7. I was very fortunate to have known Ray. He was a rare person. A successful, yet humble man and a true gentleman. He was a fierce competitor, yet very fair. Playing golf with Ray taught me a lot. I learned how to lose…because he beat me…a lot! However, I also learned to never give up. No matter the situation, Ray never gave up. He never quit. It was but one of his many great qualities. Another was his penchant to do anything to help a friend in need. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Just know that Ray was loved and respected by so many people. He will be greatly missed. All we can do nowis keep his memory alive.
