You wanted to make it to the election and you did! I know it was a struggle at the end but you are at peace now. You had a long life and you got to see your three grandchildren grow up to be good people. You had a part in that for sure as you did with who I turned out to be. I am glad you got to spend the last three years of your life living with us as you wanted to. We are glad we were able to make your final days as comfortable as possible.
I am proud that my wife Beth and my children Emma, Ben and Rebecca all helped take care of you in our home.
Love your son.
I may have not been your actually grandson it still felt like it. My heart is still grieving the loss. You raised a phenomenal son, who indeed and in fact raised three great children (my cousins). Your last words spoken to me and my fiancé when you met my fiancé was “he’s a good man” and I told you “I love you” and you said “love you too” will forever be in my heart. I enjoyed taking some part of helping out with your well being had great number of meals with you and the life lessons we had in your apartment. I will enjoy those jazz records. You always shook my hand and gave me a hug. I miss and love you Ray. You were well taken care of by the best people which was your closest family members.
Love Jonathon
Our relationship is what made men the man I am today and whoever I am in the future. All the conversations we had and time we spent together at your apartment, our home and bars like the Little Lounge, will be with me for the rest of my life. I’m glad I helped see you through to the end. You passed full of days and loved as our family’s beloved Opa.
