  1. I lost my husband, Stan Merritt last year. He was a good friend and “Toy Train” collector along with Richie.
They shared many years of friendship and love of trains. Stan would have been there for Richie if he could have.
    Please accept our sincere condolences.

  2. My husband Stan Merritt passed away last year.
He was an avid Train Collector along with Richie.
They shared many happy, wonderful memories
Please accept my condolences on his behalf

  3. Richie was a friend and shipmate of mine aboard USS Randolph during the early 1960s. He sent me this photo three or four years ago Of some of us together on the ship. Richie of course is the guy in the glasses, the redheaded guy is Kenny, I don’t remember his first name, the guy in the bunk is Pat Murphy, his brother Jack has the hat on and I am in the front. We were just kids then; amazing! Richie will be missed.

  4. My beloved brother Richard, there are no words I can find to express how I feel over losing you. We were always there for each other. The good times, the happy times, the bad times, the funny times (Daniels} and the sad times, we always had each others back. The best BIG brother a KID sister could ask for. My heart is broken now, but with time I know it will heal, remembering all the wonderful things we shared growing up. I am so grateful for the very last words you said to me, “I Love You Carolyn” and I will always and forever “LOVE” you too, my sweet, dear brother Rich!!!!! Until we are together again, may God take care of you and Mom and Dad. The last TRAIN stopped at you door and took you to heaven!!!!

  5. My Uncle Richie, you will be missed by so many. I will never forget all the wonderful memories our family has shared over the years. You are reunited with your family that has passed before you. Your memory will never fade, I will always remember the Barbie soda shop you bought me, your ultimate collection of trains and baseball cards in the basement, and your love for pizza.Prayers and thoughts are with Aunt Helen, Billy and Bobby. Until we meet again, live well in the kingdom of God.
