Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. candleAll our love to Julie, Kaitlyn, Tara, and Tommy. Rob was a bright shiny star and warmed all our hearts! May you always cherish the memories you made. Love from Samantha, Steve, Theo, and Abby

  2. Julie, thomas and I are very saddened by the death of your husband Rob. We met Rob when he was in his late teens and worked at the beach across from our house in sound beach. He will be truly missed by everyone he touched with his laugher and his larger than life personality. RIP ROB. We love you

  3. candleRob was the funniest dad and always the favorite in the friend group. I have so many fond memories and videos of him enjoying life with his family. He always included me and my sister in their daily activities and made us feel like we were part of the family. He is so so dearly missed. Kaitlyn, Tara, Tommy, and Julie, I love you all so much and I hope you know how much he loved his family. It was apparent to anyone standing in the room. I’m going to miss waving to him on the porch as I’m driving by, his crazy dancing, and his karaoke sessions. We could always hear him singing from down the block if we were sitting outside. I am thinking of all of you and I just know that he is partying it up in heaven and singing to Amy Winehouse right now. Forever on my mind and in my heart.

    Love always,
    Alyssa

  4. candleRob was always the cool dad. The guy you knew you could tell anything to and he’d tell a joke or give advice to cheer you up. He always knew how to have a good time. I’ll never forget the karaoke sessions and dances we all used to watch him do. He treated me as if i was one of his own kids, and that always meant a lot. He did a lot for me and i’ll miss him dearly. I love you tara, kaitlyn, thomas and julie. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

    Love, Christina

  5. Rob was a light
    Rob fought the fight
    Rob was a rainbow
    Rob shone so bright
    Rob will be missed
Rob you made us mad and many pissed
But Rob you had to go
    Rob you knew your show
    We love you Rob
    We love you so

  6. Rob always stole the show with his karaoke sessions and dancing. He always knew how to have a good time and lit up any party with his lively personality. He made anyone feel like family and I know I have always felt welcome from the very start. The first time I met him was one of the first times I hung out with Kaitlyn. He picked us up to go to the gym and I immediately knew he was a great dad. He was so high-spirited and was always cracking jokes. Rob was so incredibly loving and it was apparent how much he loved and cared for Julie, Kaitlyn, Tara, and Tommy. My whole heart goes out to the Doran’s.

  7. candleRob was a great guy with a big heart. Sharp and witty, he lit up the room. I have great memories hanging out with him and Julie. To this day, I still look back and laugh at all the fun we had. My heart goes out to Julie and the entire family for this tremendous loss. Rest in peace Rob.

  8. candleTo the Doran Family,

  11. candleI’m so sorry. Sending so much love and prayers to your family. May he Rest In Peace. He is watching over you guys now.

  12. Julie, Kaitlyn, Tara, and Tommy, we are so very sorry for your loss. We will always think of your dad greeting us as he sat on the front porch. May you find comfort in the memories you share. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in peace, Rob.

  13. candleThere are no words to express how heartbroken we both are. Rob was like a son to us and we will miss him always. We love you Rob. Rest in peace. God Bless you. Love Barbara and Tom.

  14. Rob Doran was one of a kind. His special energy was the source of so many great moments over the years. Time will never exhaust the memories he created for us.

He was a force that couldn’t be reckoned with – irresistible at times, immovable at others. Always a threat to do the impossible, and once in a while, he did.

Rob loved to have fun, but there was more to it than that. He was an entertainer, in the best possible way. He didn’t seek the spotlight just for himself. He wanted to bring us with him into its heart, where we could feel its warmth and be a part of the magic he was trying to make.

He tried to bring light into darkness and the light he carried within him will never die. There is no doubt that he will shine always on those he loved and still loves, those of us who love him and always will.

To Julie, Kaitlyn, Tara and Thomas, to Rob’s entire extended family, we are thinking of you and praying for you.

  15. candleOur deepest condolences! We will miss seeing Rob at Tides. Always a smile on his face and a friendly hello. Xoxo

  16. You took over the room everywhere you were… larger than life … I hope you’re at peace…
