Robert J Zubil, 79, of 260 Terry Rd, Smithtown NY passed away peacefully @ Good Shepherd Hospice on Jan 1st, 2022
Born in Brooklyn NY on March 21, 1942 he was the son of the late John Zubil and Leona Zubil (Rotkiewicz).
At the young age of 15, Robert (Bob) met the love of his life, the former Josephine DePiano of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The teenage years were spent together , and on June 8th 1963 they joined their love in marriage. Robert worked as a banker in lower Manhattan, and together the newlyweds bought their dream home on Long Island in the developing town of Greenlawn. Together they raised three daughters. They lived a blessed life.
Robert is survived by his wife, Josephine and his 3 daughters , Debra (John) Mulqueen of West Islip NY, Denise (Marc) DeLeonardis of Coram NY, and Maureen (Alan) Wachtin of Smithtown NY. In addition 6 grandchildren, Michael and Anna(Woodroof) Mulqueen, Ryan and Connor Mulqueen, Toni and Gina DeLeonardis and Emily Wachtin. and his brother John Zubil of Youngstown Ohio.
Robert was a hardworking ,dedicated, loving husband and father. He was very proud of his family and all of their accomplishments. He took great pride in his home , and enjoyed making improvements and gardening. Robert was a pleasant easy going man who loved a good laugh. He enjoyed food, cooking and feeding people ( especially steaks and porkchops). He loved his music, gatherings and a nice cold beer after a hard days work. Robert often expressed contentment with his beautiful life “I wouldn’t change a thing”
Robert was loved by many, and will certainly be missed by all.
His life will be celebrated by all who knew him, as his soul rests in peace.

To the family of my former brother in Law Bob Zubil. I loved him like a brother. I just found out of Bob’s passing on January 1 2022.:Bob was a great husband to Joanie , a wonderful father, a kind,generous and caring man I have missed him so much. Today I just had told my cleaning lady ,something telling me to call my former sister in law Joanie They had a wonderful Marriage filled with Love..
