Robert Morrison Jr.
May 20, 1942 ~ November 21, 2024
As we mourn the passing of Robert Morrison Jr., of St. James, NY, we remember the love and compassion he showed to his family, friends and community. He was not a man of grand gestures, but more of subtle acts of kindness for which he will always be remembered and cherished.
Bob, as he preferred to be called, died in hospice care on November 21, 2024 at the age of 82, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carole; children, Wendy Foster (husband Brian) and Rob Morrison (wife Jaime); grandchildren, Delaney and Kelsey Foster; siblings Patricia Fox-Kilday and family and Bruce Morrison and family.
During his lifetime, Bob was an athlete, National Guard reservist, businessman, mentor and coach. But if you were to choose his greatest passion in life, it would be his devotion to his wife, children and most of all his grandchildren, who will eternally miss their papa/pop.
Services will be held at Branch Funeral Home, 190 E. Main Street, Smithtown, NY 11787 Monday, November 25 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A church service for Bob will be held at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Smithtown on Tuesday, November 26 at 10 am. Following the service, he will be buried at St. James Episcopal Cemetery in St. James, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America http://www.vva.org or the St. Andrews Lutheran Church Nursery School in Smithtown, NY http://www.standrewsofsmithtown.org/donate

Miss you already Dad, love you, xo
Missing you so so much pop
Bob bravely took me to the first Beatles concert in Shea stadium. Afterwards he was temporarily deaf and my hand was numb from him hanging in to me. Good times
Wishing I could hug you right now❤️
We miss you very much. Our time together at Christmas was very special. We hope you find Mom and Dad quickly.
Remembering your dad, grandpa, and husband with great admiration and love. He was always present for his family and it was shown in everything he did and said. He will be very missed. Our hearts are broken for you. May he rest in peace in eternal peace. All our love and support .
