Unfortunately I will be out of town for the wake so I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to the Masci Family. Bob was my sergeant in the 19th Precinct when I was a young police officer. Bob was smart and compassionate which was a quality not found in abundance back then in supervisors. Sergeant Masci always had time to teach and mentor us and I will always be grateful for the time spent with him. SincerelyRobert PollastroRetired Lieutenant NYPD
Dear Cathy,I am Chrissy Galasso’s (and Alex’s) niece. I wanted to express my condolences to you and your family. Through the years Chris spoke of her many friends so lovingly and I wanted to let you know that your names surely came up. Prayers for you and your loved ones during this very sad and difficult time.
My heart goes out to the Masci Family in this very difficult time. May the peace that comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.Lisa M. McDonald & FamilyDetective, Retired
My condolences to the Masci family. Bob touched so many lives for the better. He was my Sergeant in KANSU and always provided leadership, compassion and camaraderie with everything he did, whether personally or professionally. IΓÇÖm thankful for the time I had with him, as I know everyone he knew does. He was one of the good guys and will be greatly missed by all.Sincerely Jim Blaisdell, Retired Detective, NYPD
My sincere condolences to the entire Masci family. I knew Bob for many years having worked with him in Midtown South and later in Narcotics. He was a long time member of our MEGO golf family in the Poconos and will be missed terribly. He was truly a great friend. You are all in our hearts and in our prayers.
To the entire Masci Family; We are just learning of the passing of your beloved Robert when Marjorie and I took a ride down Capitol Ave. Sending you all our deepest sympathy. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers. Dorothy,Kevin and Marjorie Wheeler

Bert,
I was so upset when I learned about your passing. I learned about it when I was talking with guys that were retired and I mentioned your dad. They said he passed in January. I read his obituary and it said proceeded by his son Robert. I was floored. We were so close when we were young .so sad we did not keep in contact. Me working in Manhattan I would see you from time to time. But then we didn’t see each other again. We had great times growing up in Williston park. Williston park pool, tennis club.our first cars that we bought. Your dad fixing my car when it needed work. I can go on forever. May your dad and you please Rest In Peace. Turk Robert Gerner
