We’ll miss you, Uncle Bob! Say hi to Grandma and Grandpa for me.

Bob and I were very close friends, where at the age of 10 or 12 our path’s first intersected while riding bicycles on a dirt road on Mayfair Ave. in Nesconset. We established a lasting friendship that includes many fond memories. When we were teenagers we built several fast cars together. When he was looking to settle down and get married, I was working as a carpenter, so I built his first home, a single story ranch. Bob married Judy, and raised two sons (Kenny & Donald) in that home on Summit Rd, Nesconset. Bob was a talented mechanical engineer, so if I needed help to trouble shoot a problem on a piece of equipment, I knew I could count on him for help. He was a loyal friend that will be deeply missed. A few days before he passed, I sent him a text message where I said, “I wouldn’t change a thing in our lasting friendship”, and he responded saying, “the feeling is mutual”. Rest peacefully my friend.
