Robert Sylvester

Robert Sylvester, age 89, of Alpharetta, Georgia formerly of Garden City, New York died Friday, August 16, 2024. Robert was born June 18, 1935 in Flushing, New York. He is the son of the late Francis and the late Carmela (Oliver) Sylvester. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Catherine in 2019. He was a proud Navy veteran, serving from 1954 to 1958. He was employed by EDO Corp., College Park, New York as a Contract Negotiator. He is survived by three loving daughters, Diane Sylvester Grecco, Nancy Ganzekaufer, and Vivian Sylvester Jung. He is also the cherished grandfather of nine. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Religious services will be held 4:30 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday, August, 27, 2024 at 9:00 am for a 10:00 am closing prayer. Burial with military honors will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Monday, August 26 at 10:30 am.
