Rosalind F. Palazzolo, age 93 from 905 Cabot Lane St James NY passed away on April 29, 2024 from natural causes. Rosalind was born on September 9, 1930 in Brooklyn NY to parents Ernest Lucadana and Regina Engel of Brooklyn.
Rosalind met William “Bill” Palazzolo at a roller rink in Brooklyn in 1950. They were married in April of 1951. Rosalind and Bill were married 42 years when Bill passed away August 7, 1993.
Rosalind and Bill went on to have two children Carl married to Susan and Ernest married to Amy, 6 grandchildren Stefanie married to John, William “Bill”, Dina married to Ross, Willie, Margaret, Jacob and one great granddaughter, Lillian.
Rosalind was very active from the age of 65 to 91 serving in her community as a member of the Smithtown Library Board, President of the Smithtown Senior Center, President of her Condo association at Fairfield of St. James.
Rosalind was very active in community affairs often speaking out for the best interests of the seniors living in Smithtown. Rosalind was an active member of the Silver Cords – she enjoyed singing and performing.
Rosalind also wrote many opinion editorials for the Smithtown Messenger.
Rosalind always said “Don’t complain when you are unhappy about something, do something about it !”

Rest comfortably in Heaven Mrs. P. I always admired how you genuinely were interested in all our lives.. You spent your time doing things that gave you joy and would make a difference. I know how proud you are of your family and will continue to watch over them as another angel protecting them all.
We will miss you lovely lady. You always had good advice and I enjoyed our long talks.
You had the sweetest singing voice and I know how much you enjoyed your singing, Now you will be singing with all the angels.
