  1. Going through mom and dad’s recipe box a few days ago, I found a recipe card for “Rose Jean Sgarlato’s Spinach Pie. That wasn’t a coincidence but a God Wink and it brought to mind so many warm and loving memories. She was a wise woman and Tim and I have been touched by her in so many ways. Aunt Rose taught us never to say how “lucky we are, instead we should say we are blessed. And we are all blessed that she was part of our lives. A spark has gone out for us but heaven will never be the same. Peace in the arms of Jesus.Christine and Tim Cobb

  2. A memory that stays in my mind of my Aunt Rose Sgarlato was when I was a very young girl. I remember my parents visiting my dearest Aunt Rose and Uncle Sam at the pizza / restaurant they owned. I remember Aunt Rose came over to the table where my brothers Joseph and Michael sat with me. My parents were talking to Uncle Sam. Aunt Rose sat down with us children. I remember she had this beautiful long dark hair, and that she was so kind. She asked us what we wanted to eat and of course my brothers and I said ΓÇ£ PIZZA and SODA ! ΓÇ£ I could feel that Aunt Rose was so happy we were there to visit. I could sense both Aunt Rose and Uncle Sam loved my parents. As a child, I could sense how loving my Aunt Rose and Uncle Sam were to all of us. I enjoyed being with them that day. Aunt RoseΓÇÖs warmth , hospitality and kindness stayed in my heart….my memory . God Bless you Aunt Rose. Love always, your niece, Donna Rubino Smith
