I had Mr. Koch when I was in 6th grade, probably around 1969. He was the best teacher I ever had in 16 years of education. He knew his students and loved them. My favorite memory was when the boys acted up and didnΓÇÖt pay attention, he would throw s piece of chalk at them while cursing in German. In recent years my sister had the privilege of reconnecting with him while he lived in Pompano Beach. He came into her office one day and she recognized his voice. He will be missed! ∩┐╜∩┐╜ – Cathy Schultz
Rudy Koch…..Probably the most intelligent man I will ever know. Ask him, and he will tell you it is so.Somewhat obnoxious at times. To him itΓÇÖs a competition he plans to win.Generous to a fault. Ask anyone.Loyal husband and devoted Father. My cousin and my friend.I will miss you for the rest of my life.I love you Rudy, but you already know that.Give Fran a hug.Good bye for now. I know where to find you.As you would call me, Patti Ann
SO terribly sorry to learn of Rudy’s passing. he was always such an integral member of our Smithtown community. You ( the entire extended Koch family) should be so proud of all he and Fran have done for you….a beautiful family, indeed! May he rest in eternal peace and be forever reunited with his beloved Fran. With love, John & Joani Madarash
