LIANTONIO - Sabina 'Sadie' (nee Proce) born on January 21, 1914 passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2016, after almost 102 years of touching the lives of many. She is survived by her children Jeanne (Paul) Gallo, Frank (Hela), Diane (John) Garofalo, Donald & Vincent (the late Nancy), 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Dear sister to the late Angelina Abbate, Frances Rezza and Benedetto Proce. Sadie was a faithful parishioner of St. Anthony's Parish since moving to Rocky Point in 1963, when she and her husband, Vincent were the owners of the Rocky Point Variety store on Broadway. After retiring, she volunteered at Mather Hospital until well into her 90's, while at the same time crocheting hats for newborns at St. Charles Hospital. Reposing at Branch Funeral Home of Miller Place, 551 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. Visitation Tuesday 2 5 & 7 9 PM. Funeral Mass 9:00 AM Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Rocky Point, NY. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the New York Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes. www.branchfh.com

I have so many fond memories visiting you, from when I was a little girl visiting Great Grandma and Grandpa, to all the times Mom and Dad brought us to visit you and stopping by the store, to seeing you at home as an adult when I visited LI or held our backyard reunions. She was always so kind when she would tell me Donald had already gone to bed. i send my love and prayers for her and foryou, Donald, who took such good care of her for son long. she could not have had a better son.
