Sadek G. Nasser
September 21, 1941 ~ October 6, 2026
Born in:
Tanta, Egypt
Resided in:
Smithtown, New York
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sadek G. Nasser on October 6, 2026, at the age of 85.
Born in Tanta, Egypt, on September 21, 1941, Sadek attended Collège Saint-Marc in Alexandria before embarking on a successful business career that took him around the globe, living and working in Puerto Rico, London, Japan, New York, and Connecticut. He met Eglal, his beloved wife of 44 years, in Montreal, Canada. Together, they proudly raised their children, Andrew Sadek and Helen-Margaret.
Sadek was immensely proud of his children and their spouses, Adrienne and Andrew. His four grandchildren—Jacqueline, Leo, John, and Nadia—were his greatest joy. As a truly devoted Gueddo, he cherished every moment with them: babysitting, teaching them French, and feeding them crepes and his signature Gueddo Sauce. He never missed an opportunity to celebrate a goal, a basket, a run, a recital, or a great grade on a test, instilling in them the values of family, tradition, education, kindness, and generosity.
Known affectionately as “Dedy,” he was someone who always showed up when needed, ready with a great story, sage advice, and an easy smile.
Sadek is survived by his wife, Eglal; his children, Andrew and Helen-Margaret, their spouses Adrienne and Andrew; his four grandchildren, Jacqueline, Leo, John, and Nadia; his siblings, Farida, Magdy, and Mona, their spouses the late Bernard, Jeanne and Gary; and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

It is difficult to put into words what Sadek meant to me. I first met him when I was just 18 years old. He was my boss then, but over the many, many years that followed, he became a mentor and a very dear friend. He was truly one of the best men I have ever known.
No matter how much time passed or how far apart we lived, Sadek never stopped caring. He always checked in on me, offered his advice, encouragement, and supported me through some of the hardest moments of my life. I always knew that if I needed him, he was only a phone call away. That kind of friendship is rare, and I will forever be grateful for his presence in my life.
Sadek loved his family deeply, and I hope the beautiful memories you created together bring you comfort during this incredibly difficult time. He will be greatly missed, but his kindness, generosity, and the impact he had on so many lives will never be forgotten.
My heart is very sad, but I find peace in believing that he is now in a better place.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all, may he rest in peace.
