It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Sara’s passing on Thursday, December 4, 2025. This is a difficult story to tell and my father is too distraught to verbally discuss these details.
Sara’s final journey began with an unfortunate accident on Sunday, November 23rd, when she suffered a fall at home, injuring her head and spine. She was taken to Stony Brook Hospital for treatment, where it was determined she had a fractured L1 vertebra and head laceration.
On November 26, 2025, Sara was transferred to St. Charles Rehabilitation Center. During her time there, the devoted staff worked tirelessly to help her recover. She showed great spirit and was making wonderful progress—she was walking, talking, and enjoying meals, with her full recovery seeming imminent. We are grateful that Sara’s family was able to visit with her and share their love during this time.
Sadly, Sara’s condition took a sudden and unexpected turn on November 30th. After being found unresponsive in cardiac arrest, she was moved to the ICU and placed on life support following the heroic efforts of the St. Charles team. Upon further examination, the medical team identified bleeding in her brain; however, the doctors determined it was inoperable. Despite all medical interventions, the doctors concluded that Sara’s condition was irreversible and that she would be unable to regain consciousness.
Sara was gently called home to God on December 4, 2025. She spent her final moments comfortably, surrounded by love, passing away in the arms of her husband with her stepdaughter, Tiffany, besides her holding her hand. We are grateful for the compassionate care provided by the hospital staff during this difficult time.
Sara will remain deeply cherished and loved in our hearts forever.
Thank you for your understanding and love, at this time my father is too distraught to discuss these details. He requested that I prepare this synopsis for her friends and loved ones who may have questions.
Love Tiffany
