Therese M. King, age 54, of Rocky Point, NY died Sunday, December 28, 2014. Born March 8, 1960 in Merrick, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Catherine (Smith) Rodgers. She was employed by Mt. Sinai School District, Mt. Sinai, NY as a Secretary. She is survived by her beloved husband: Robert King, her loving sons: Justin King of Rocky Point, NY, Leo King of CA, Rory King of Rocky Point, NY, Dylan King of Rocky Point, NY, sisters: Mary Rodgers of Great Neck, NY, Jean Gallman of OH and two brothers: Tim Rodgers of Babylon, NY, Patrick Rodgers of Merrick, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Monday, January 5 at St. Anthony Of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY with Monsignor William G. Breslawski Pastor officiating. A private cremation was arranged by family. Calling hours will be Saturday, January 3 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Sunday, January 4 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. My prayers and thoughts are with the King family and all who loved Therese. Although I did not know her personally, I knew of all the kind and unselfish things she did and contributed to our community.You will be missed by many, but forgotten by none. RIP.

Steph and I and the whole McAvoy Family want to let you know how sad and confused we are feeling. What to say? Why.? But most of all we feel for you ,Bob and your Boys,and all of Therese,s family! May God hold you in his Palm and keep you safe and together, all I can think of is Therese and Peggy thinking up some mischief to do up in heaven! Laughing as they always seemed to be doing when they were together,well Peggy gets her side kick back and we lose a great gal !, hang in there.
