Thomas P. Moffatt

Moffatt, Thomas P. of Central Islip, NY and The Arbors in Islandia, NY passed away on Tuesday June 4th, 2024 at the age of 82. Beloved son of the late Thomas & the late Catherine Moffatt, loving brother of Patricia Martin (Bill) and the late Mary Roethgen (Brian). Pround uncle of Catherine McLoughlin (Kevin), Mary Martin and Michael Roethgen (Amy). Very proud uncle of Kevin & John McLoughlin and George & Kate Roethgen.

Raised in Central Islip, Attended St. John of God School and Seton Hall. He worked later as a baker at Central Islip State Hospital for 27 years. He loved Ireland and all things Irish. He adored the NY Yankees and chocolate ice cream. He loved vacationing in Strasburg, PA and taking the train ride there.

Nothing made him happier than being with his family. He always kept on top of how “the kids” were doing. He never ever complained about anything. Life was always good.

May the Road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your field… Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
