Semper Fi. 40 years of dedicated service to FDNY Retired Battalion Chief. Beloved husband of Dorothy.Loving father of Karen (Gary) Staab, Vincent G. *LODD-FDNY-1999*(Mona), Gerard (Rebecca), Ellen (Kenny) Ryan, Andrew (Cathleen), & John (Denise).Cherished grandfather of Dina, Amy, Stephanie, Brian, Brendan, Tim, Connor, Danny, Liam, Jack, Erin, & Vincent.Adored great grandfather of Aelish, Donovan, Derek, & Rhiannon.The Family would like to thank the great staff at the Long Island State Veterans Home at Stony Brook Unit 2B for their excellent care.

I never had the privelage to meet Mr.Fowler but I have worked with his kind hearted daughter Ellen for many years . Knowing how genuine Ellen is I can’t imagine how dad was. I really wish I had met him. Your family has such a special bond and I am sure everyone that has or had the Fowler name is a remarkable human being! I really Love Ellen and I know she is hurting but somehow I know you will all pull together and be the close family your mom and dad created∩┐╜∩┐╜I am very sorry for your loss and I hope you all find the strength to get through this difficult time..God Bless ∩┐╜∩┐╜∩┐╜Kelli Pritchett(was and always will be Ellen’s side kick)

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy dealing with this, so I would like to share a scripture that has comforted me during a difficult time like this; which is Isa. 25:8. Hopefully it will do the same for you.
Please accept my condolences for the passing of your dear loved one. When someone we love dies, the heartache and grief can be great. I hope that you can be comforted knowing that God cares for you and sees your pain. (1 Peter 5:7) ‘He is close to the brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) May you find comfort and relief during this grievous time, as you cherish the precious memories of Vincent.

I remember Mr. Fowler as my gym teacher at St. Clare’s and for his involvement in running St.Clare’s intramural basketball program. I spent many freezing cold winter Saturday’s walking to the gym for a basketball game. Mr. Fowler would always be there. Deepest condolences to his family. He was a great man.

I would like to express my respect and admiration for the life of Mr. Fowler, an FDNY legend and more importantly, a Rosedale legend. I also extend my sincere condolences to the great American Family that bears his name.
