Vincent R. Passavia

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I've only gone to rest for a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you. Beloved father of Travis (Christina) Passavia. Cherished grandfather of Isabella Passavia. Loving brother of Robert (Donna) Passavia and Gary (Cindy) Passavia.

  1. Vinnie was a great friend . We had some fun times taking road trips around LI. I used to enjoy listening to him sing and play “I’m Your Captain” with the band he was in with my brother Tony. Vinnie was my friend for 50 years and I will miss him for 50 more. The world lost a beautiful soul.

  2. Summer days over at the beach,, good friends good times. We will think of Vinny everytime we have a rocket fuel and will will toast up to you in heaven ,, rest in peace Vinny… Bobby, Joan & Kristine Benedict. Our deepest condolences to Rob & the entire family😓😓

  3. People can go for years without seeing each other and in a moment it’s like it was only yesterday. My heart is filled with good memories of years past yet aches today for Travis, Gary, Robert and all of Vinnys loved ones. Vinny, I don’t ever recall seeing you without a smile on your face and laughter in your voice ~ Rest In Peace my friend. Rest In Peace 🙏🏻

  4. Rick Kohnken and Vinnie Passavia, toting their bookcases off to their first year at Seton Hall HS, 1965. RIP Sweet Vinny.

  1. My deepest condolences are with your family. The loss of a loved one is indeed heart-breaking. May the comfort from the scriptures bring you peace. At Revelation 21:4 we are assured that ‘He will wipe out every tear from [your] eyes and death will be no more’. As you continue to cherish your many fond memories of Vincent, please let the hope of a future resurrection encourage you.

  4. My wife Patty and I were so sad to read of the passing of our dear friend Jim Passavia. I served with Jim on both the Long Island and NY State Restaurant Association Boards for many years. It only takes one word to describe Jim – “CLASS. No matter what he did – it was always done the proper way – and with style!Even though we were business competitors, there was never a time that either of us hesitated to call the other for ideas or assistance. He loved the business and showed it every time you were a guest of his. I was lucky enough to be selected Restaurateur of the Year – and Jim insisted on hosting the party for me. People that were present at the event still talk about it as the very best they’d ever seen.God Bless Jimmy, Ann and the family – and may his time in Heaven give him rest and peace for all of the wonderful things he has done for others.Don LeCompte & FamilyFormer Owner, Antun’s Caterer’s of Hicksville
