Violet Marchesano

violet marchesano

January 20, 1933 ~ August 15, 2024

Born in: New York, NY
Resided in: Northport, NY

Violet Marchesano passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 15, 2024 at 91 years old. Violet was born in New York City in 1933, and grew up in Brooklyn. She loved to dance, often wearing through a pair of shoes in one night (which she attributed to the quality of her dancing, not the quality of the shoes). At 16, she met her great love, Santo, at the roller rink. Despite playing a bit hard to get, she knew he was the one, and they were married for 58 years.

She left Brooklyn for Central Islip, New York, to raise her family, where she lived next door to her brother and close to her sister, creating beautiful memories for her children, nieces, and nephews. She lived in Kings Park for the past 17 years, and could often be seen sitting on her driveway chatting with friends and passersby.

Vicki to her many friends, she was quick to laugh, to tell a story, and to feed you a truly delicious meal (whether you were hungry or not). She will be deeply missed, but as she would tell you, she did pretty well for an old lady. Her family agrees.

She is reunited with her late husband, Santo and survived by her two children, Michael (Catherine), and Lisa(Kim); her four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Casey, Emily, and Victoria, and her two beloved great-grandchildren, Henry and Xavier.

  1. A truly beautiful lady!!!!
When she made her fabulous ‘gravy’-the aroma was unmistakable-she would provide me with a bowlful-which I ate like soup-delicious!
Her memory is a true blessing.
