Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Knowing Walt Thomas was a sincere honor. Specifically, when I first met him at Knights of Columbus Holy Mother Mary Counsel many years back, his guidance, wisdom, and most of all friendship, was greatly appreciated and cherished for years to come. Simply stated, he was the epitome of the word gentleman. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart I send this note, as both my wife Vera and I, send our love, and deepest condolences to his wife Kay and the family. May God welcome Walt at Heavens Gate with open arms, and grant perpetual rest and peace for eternity.

  2. The residents, employees and volunteers of the Long Island State Veterans Home mourn the loss of our dear friend Walter Thomas, Sr. As a strong supporter of our Home, Walter understood our mission and vision of “Caring for America’s Heroes.” Walter was an Army veteran who was extremely patriotic. He loved our great nation and had a special place in his heart for all those brave women and men who wore the uniform to protect the freedoms we enjoy as Americans today. Walter was a class act who visited LISVH numerous times over the years. His warm smile and friendly demeanor will be missed by all of us. Our deepest condolences go out to Walter’s family. May he rest in eternal peace.

  3. candleDear Kay

  4. Dear Kay and Family Our Love and Condolences to you. May the light of the lord Bless your family and bring you peace. Walt PGK was a Knights Knight. He will be greatly missed.

  5. Walt Thomas (or as we knew him, Tom), held a very special place in all our hearts. What a true gentleman he was. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kay and the entire Thomas family. Heaven gained a very special angel. Lovingly, Karen, John, Ginny and especially Dave. xoxo
