Warren Francis Whitaneis, 74, of Plainboro, NJ, and longtime resident of Smithtown, NY, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in Plainboro, NJ.

Born on July 23, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY, Warren was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Manhasset, NY, and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from St. John’s University. He built a long and successful career as a construction consultant, sharing his knowledge and dedication with numerous companies over the years.

Warren will be remembered for his intelligence, integrity, and kind spirit. He approached life with thoughtfulness and humor and was always ready to offer his wisdom and friendship to those around him.

He was the beloved son of the late Genevieve and Frank Whitaneis, and the loving brother of Patricia Whitaneis. Warren’s family and friends will forever cherish the many memories they shared with him and the lasting impact he made on their lives.

A service will be held at St. Charles Cemetery Thursday November 13th at 2pm to celebrate Warren’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease and related disorders Association Inc.     So sorry to hear about Warren. We were best friends during our high school years. Warren played the bass guitar in my band (The Foggy Ruins of Time) He was one of my ushers at my wedding (July 25, 1970) to my wife Paula. We kind of lost touch through the years, my career was with the Navy. So Sorry.
