William P. Blaber (February 11, 1937-May 19, 2026)
William P. Blaber was born in Flushing, Queens to Joseph and Edith Blaber. He was the youngest of five children. He was an altar boy who graduated from the Brooklyn Preparatory School in 1954. He then joined the Navy for two years. When he returned, he went to work for the US Post Office and then left f to work for the NY Department of Motor Vehicles for over 30 years, where he retired as Chief Investigator. William was also a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus-St. Thomas More Council # 6062.
Most importantly, William was a devoted family man who was married to Eleanor (nee Mackison) for 55 years and had three children, Theresa Blaber, Eleanor Alessandro-married to Andrew Alessandro and two grandchildren, Grace and William Alessandro and Robert John Blaber.
Lastly, he was a voracious reader with a good sense of humor who will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
