Wilma Kehl, age 86, of Shoreham, New York died Sunday, July 21, 2024. Wilma was born March 21, 1938 in Amityville, New York. She is the daughter of the late Henry and the late Wilhelmina (Kappelmann) Knabbe. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert, in 2019. She was employed by Shoreham Wading River Schools as a Clerk Typist. Wilma is survived by her loving children, Jennifer (Thomas) Waters of the Bronx, New York and John H. Kehl of Key Largo, Florida. She is also the cherished grandmother of Kaitlin Kehl, Allison Waters, and Linda Waters and great grandmother of her precious Bayley Kehl. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Religious services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Visiting hours will be on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends will gather at the Rocky Point Funeral Home 9:30 AM on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 for a 10:00 closing prayer before proceeding to Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York for burial. The family would appreciate Memorial donations be made to the Webb Institute which is a tax exempt charity at https://www.webb.edu/invest-in-webb/supportwebb/.
