Yong Hwa Velez, age 62, of Woodbridge, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Yong Hwa was born January 30, 1961. She is the daughter of the late Yu Sun Pak and the late Oe Chu Kwon. She was self- employed as a Massage Therapist in Alaska. She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond L. Velez and her loving children, Rebecca G. Velez and Raymond M. Velez. She was predeceased by her dear son, Christopher James, Velez. She is also the cherished grandmother of Aliyah, Ariana and Christopher. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A closing prayer will be said at 1:00 PM and we will then go together to Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York for burial.
