Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Charlie’s family. As my Supervisor at Grumman he showed a profound interest in my career. My wife and I found Charlie to be kind and compassionate during our time at Grumman.Jerry and Irene Guarracino

  2. Prayers for my departed Uncle, my aunt, cousins and family. I am so sorry and pray for God’s grace to comfort you all and welcome Charlie back home with the Lord.

  3. I was saddened to read off the passing of Charlie. I have so many happy memories of holiday meals and other wonderful times. Even though it has been many years ago, I always enjoyed the interactions with our families, especialy time talking to Charlie. He was an amazing family man who I truley respected. Prayers for Charlie, and his family during this time of grief.

  4. My favorite memory of Mr. Dragowitz was when he was president of the Hauppauge Board of Education. It was a snowy evening and all the parents were out shoveling on Swallow Lane and all the kids were playing. This was before texting and cellphones, so information was spread differently. Mr. Dragowitz walked down the block and called out to each of the parents ‘School is closed tomorrow!’ You could hear the cheers spread down the block as we kids got the news. My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Dragowitz, Ellise, Nancy and Jeannie and their families. I never take for granted how lucky I was to grow up with all of you. You are all a part of some of my happiest memories.

  5. it’s been 46 years now since i’ve know the Dragowitz family and my heart goes out to each & every one of you. We were blessed to grow up with each other but even more so, the blessing has continued all these years through our ongoing friendship…our childhood family that is as strong today as it was back then!

  6. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. The Swallow Lane alumni share a special bond and we all have such fond memories. I’m so glad to have grown up with Mr. and Mrs. Dragowitz, although there were times I’m sure they wished we did not live so close..lolMy condolences to the family..

  7. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Dragowitz family. I have so many wonderful memories from growing up on Swallow Lane. Mr. Dragowitz was always a kind man to me. I’ve been blessed to have so many long friendships to this day, from growing up on Swallow Lane. Mrs. Dragowitz, Ellise, Nancy, and Jeannie, Scott and I send all our love to you.

  8. Charlie was a great neighbor and friend so many years ago in Shalimar, Fl. Not only was he a truly good father and husband, he was also a brilliant engineer. His work and dedication helped to keep our country safe. Our thoughts and prayers today are for him and for his loving family. May you find solace with all the memories you cherish of him. May he rest in peace.

  9. I am so sorry to find that Charlie passed away last year. I knew Charlie for many years at Grumman and worked on a project together in the late 80’s. With Frank Tessitore having died a few years ago the rank of Grummaites is getting very thin.
