Harold Van Steen, age 82, of Ridge died Saturday, November 14, 2015. Harold was born October 19, 1933 in Elmont, NY. He is the son of the late Harold and Anna (Pineski) Van Steen. He was also predeceased by his wife, Patricia. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He had been employed as a supervisor at the Parker Company in Hauppauge, NY. He is survived by his daughter: Alicia Towne of Selden, NY and two sons: Kevin Van Steen of Shirley, NY, Eric Van Steen of Ridge, NY; his sister: Helen Sharpe of Central Islip, NY; and five grandchildren. Prayers will be offered 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17th at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, November 17th from 11 AM to 12PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. (www.rockypointfuneralhome.com)
