My condolences to Ed and the Gaffney children. Your wife, mother, and I were clinical instructors at Nassau Community College. We were hired together and retired together and as R.N. nurse educators we became close not only for teaching, but because we had similar personal interests….our families and their pictures, Long Island and Florida. Your illness was such a shock and you were some fighter. We had many lunches together and I’m going to miss our visits and conversations. Joann, you were a dear friend and I wish you rest and peace in God’s hands. I will continue to pray for you and I hope you’ll do the same for me!∩┐╜

She treated colleagues, veterans and their families with kindness. Christ like. An example for others to follow. I was shock to hear she had passed. What a lost to mankind. May God bless her soul.
