Guestbook

  1. Rest in Peace, John, one of the “core four” of the ROMEOS in Miller Place. Your leadership and humor will be sorely missed. We will toast you at our next luncheon, as you join the ranks of our other ROMEO colleagues who have passed.

  2. Thinking of our time teaching at Sunrise Drive all those years ago.
May God comfort Mary and children Matthew and Cara at this most difficult time.
    Rest in peace
    Cheryl and Don Morocco

  3. Thinking of our time teaching at Sunrise Drive.
Praying for God’s peace and comfort for Mary and children at this difficult time.
    May you rest in peace.

  4. Oh God, another great guy has to go and die. John was truly a fine man and respected by all. As a PE teacher, I was privileged to hear from students that “NO NECK” was the best. He was, a good friend, who was always there for me. I’m going to miss him.

  5. candleworked with john for years at sunrise drive….his sense of humor shone through in the classroom. i will always remember how welcoming he was to this newbie. rest in peace, john. sincerely, patti warren

  6. candleBarry’s fond memories of Sunrise Drive always included John and how much fun it was to work with him. My heart goes out to Mary and the family.

  7. I knew John from the Powerhouse Gym ROMEOS[ retired old men eating out]. As a retired high school English teacher we traded a lot of “war stories.” John was truly a gentleman and a scholar, as well as being a very funny guy. He will be missed!

  8. Since I was the only new teacher in the third wing of Sunrise Drive Elementary in 1988, John was always able to make me smile which helped me to feel that I was a part of the faculty. He always had the ability to make you feel welcomed! I am forever grateful to have known him and will miss him.
I send strength and love to Mary and family at this difficult time.
    Judy Abrams
