  1. candleMy heart aches for your family during this difficult time. Mr. Van de Kieft was a man of great integrity, a man I respected and looked up to as a father figure. I will always remember him as a wonderful family man, who could not wait for weekly Sunday evening visits with you all….he was so proud of you all. I’m so sorry for your loss.
    I will miss him.,
    With love,
    Jill

  2. I am so very sorry to hear about Mr. Van de Kieft’s passing and for the family’s painful loss. Growing up, Mr. V. was a prominent, impressive figure for me. Running marathons. Driving into the City for work. Having one of Debra Drive’s first personal computers. I remember his light blue Con Ed car. I remember the one time Mike and I woke him up on an early weekday evening (he went to sleep early so he could run in the morning)…and boy was he angry. I can still hear his voice. As I told Mike the other day, I remember driving back to Long Island on the New Jersey Turnpike with him and Mike and he was driving his Mitsubishi Eclipse driving a steady 55mph while all the traffic blew by us. I remember him always asking about how my family was doing whenever I saw him. Mr. V…thank you.
