For the past 15 years Allen and I have been in love and living together. He considered my son David the son he never had, and my brother Jeff and his wife Donna the brother and sister he never had. When my parents were alive him and my mother were an Irish twosome who shared a special bond. HIs best pal was our dog Baby, he made her treates every night.
We were his family for the past 15 years, and I stood by him and took care of his through all this medical problems and set backs. But we stood strong together and managed many trips to Atlantic City and twice to Vegas. We always went with Jeff & Donna and never had a dull moment.
Although we did not marry we did have a small church ceremony at my church with the pastor blessing our union. We never told anyone as it was very private just between us. Allen always felt all we needed was each other and not to share private moments which those he didn't feel close to any more.
I will miss him terribly and will never stop carrying his love in my heart.
PS. Not that is matters, but Allen had no use for the Cancer Society so for all those who were part of his new family and friends since he has been with me please disregard.
